1. No more than 6 people per boat. We have three boats and can accommodate parties up to 18.

2. You may take anything you find as long as it is not “ALIVE”.

3. Any age is comfortable on this trip but we recommend no one younger then 2. The boat ride is only 15 minutes and is mostly in CALM WATERS. You must be able to climb in and out of a boat and will get wet feet.

4. All trips depart from the Goodland Boat Park. A Collier County Marina. 750 Palm Point Dr. Goodland FL 34140

6. Some of the locations are so full of shells you may need to walk long distances on soft sand or shallow water. If you have any handicap issues and need special assistance please notify us before the trip so we can arrange for the appropriate help.

Any and all additional questions or comments are welcome. Please email us here

The shelling trip is not an ECO TOUR. It’s a short boat ride and fun beach-combing trip. This trip is comprised of a quick boat ride to a barrier island part of the EVERGLADES eco-system where you and your guide look for shells and other spectacular beach finds. This is not a narrated Eco Tour but you will learn a great deal of information about the surrounding eco-system and you can certainly ask as many questions as you like. If you are looking for history, wildlife or ecology based trips we recommend you look at one of our eco-tours or call us to discuss other options. We also offer longer shelling trips, combo eco and shelling tours and combo fishing, shelling and eco-charter’s!

Our longer shelling trip is not much more expensive. Most who have taken the short trip report back that they wish they got the one of the longer trips. 90% of our trips are 3 and four hour although we will certainly customize trips to your needs. We mix together trips to get the full experience of the Everglades and 10,000 Island’s eco-system. Tell us what you want to do and let’s do it together!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CONSUMERS SEEKING TRIPS

We are the originator of the “Shelling in the 10,000 Island’s” trips. Recently several companies have copied us but one in general has gone so far as to nearly copy every one of our marketing efforts and even stealing our slogan trip name but simply adding “Northen” to avoid a complete theft of the name. First of all, there is no such thing as the “NORTHERN 10,000 ISLANDS” they do not exist. There is only one 10,000 Islands wildlife management area. It’s un-inhabited, a critical part of the Everglades eco-system and there is no where in North America remotely like it.

Our small boats are intimate and shallow drafting allowing small groups of 4 to 6 people to get to places at any tide when most other boats can not. There boat is a large vessel with 30+ people on board that goes to the same beach on every trip. Keywadin Island is not only limited in size, it is inhabited. People live there, 100’s of boaters go there every week and every weekend a big raucous party of boats is held there. Fighting for your small piece of beach among large groups of people offers a recipe for frustration and takes away the intimate 1 on 1 service we provide. The beach with us is all yours and so are we!

Secondly, we have marine based educations specific to this Everglades coastal eco system and have been avid shell collectors our entire lives. They are not.

Thirdly “The Scenic cruise they claim in their trip description is mostly homes, boats and docks. And while their trip seems to be twice as long it is in some senses. The very long boat ride has several slow speed zones and the trip to the island takes nearly an hour leaving the shelling time on the beach about the same as ours. Our boat time is 10 to 20 minutes max enabling you to maximize your shelling time.

Lastly if the above information isn’t enough their trips go at the same time on specific days. We always try to schedule our trips on the lowest tide possible and we run everyday. Low tide changes every day it’s about 45mins later than the previous day. We research this information every day and always offer the best time available to those who book earliest as low tide is limited we are limited to a first come basis HOWEVER our locations vary and some of our secret locations can only be reached at higher tides therefore we always insure the best shelling experience for your hard earned money.

Please call us as there are some many custom options and trips we can design for you. This business is our families life and we depend on it’s success. We will go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction. You can’t always make everyone happy….but we will try. Thank you for you business and please visit TRIPADVISOR.COM to review our customer’s experiences with us.

Warm wishes from Florida and hope to see you soon.

Easy Fishing!

Gorgeous Locations!

SW Florida has some of the most diverse back country fishing in the state. Backwater fishing, or backcountry fishing, is fishing in the extensive network of bays, mangrove islands and tidal creeks that permeate the region. There are thousands of miles of shoreline, countless oyster bars and acres of seagrass beds that attract an abundance of salt water fish. In these waters are four of the state’s most sought after gamefish, the snook, redfish, spotted seatrout, and tarpon. Thousands of anglers come to southwest Florida each year for the chance at a grand slam, catching one individual of each species in one day. Perhaps the most significant factor contributing to the region’s excellent fishing reputation are the vast tracks of fresh and salt water wetlands protected by state and/or federal laws. The Charlotte Harbor – Pine Island Sound area, one of the largest estuaries in Florida, has relatively clean water that supports extensive grass beds and stands of mangroves. Several large sections of this estuarine complex are designated as state aquatic preserves and there are strict regulations that protect the water quality and marine life in the system Rookery Bay, between Naples and Marco Island , and the waters south of there into the upper part of the Ten Thousand Islands are also an aquatic Preserves. The upper part of the Ten Thousand Islands is a National Wildlife Refuge while the lower portion is a part of the Everglades National Park. Offshore Fishing The Gulf of Mexico Offshore the deep sea water of Naples Florida located in southwest Florida is well known for its calm sea conditions and excellent year round deep-sea fishing. Marco Island, Florida, is located just south of Naples, Florida, and directly on the Gulf of Mexico is the perfect departure point to access and enjoy this awesome deep sea fishing. Offshore fishing in Naples Florida and Marco Inland Florida is exciting and full of action. Depending on the fishing season, you will catch all sorts of different species of fish while fishing offshore of Marco Island, Florida aboard our deep sea fishing charter fishing boat while offshore fishing in Naples Florida. Deep sea fishing on the Gulf of Mexico for grouper and snapper is good almost any time of the year. Other offshore fish such as kingfish, cobia, amberjack, Spanish mackerel, shark, barracuda, tarpon, permit, and giant red fish are all caught as they seasonally migrate through the deep sea waters of the Gulf of Mexico offshore of Marco Island, Florida. Our fishing captains have been fishing the offshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico for many years and know where and how to catch these fish. This offshore fishing charter boat is rigged for fishing as well as your comfort, and easily accommodates up to 4 fishing anglers. All fishing equipment such as bait and tackle is provided, including deep sea fishing licenses for everyone. We also clean and bag your catch of fish. Families are welcome!
